You’ve just gotten off a great ride, or maybe you’re in the middle of a long commute, and something goes wrong. Maybe it’s a snapped brake lever, a worn-out grip, or a battery that won’t hold a charge like it used to. Like any machine, e-bikes need maintenance, and sometimes, that means ordering a replacement part.
If you’ve ever found yourself refreshing the tracking page and wondering, “Why is this taking so long?” / "When is my replacement going to get here?"—you’re not alone.
When your e-bike is sidelined, every day without it feels like an eternity. But with an electric bike, getting the right part isn’t always as simple as clicking “add to cart.” Here’s what’s actually happening behind the scenes when you order a replacement part, and why those timelines exist.
Breaking Down the Timeline: Dispatch and Delivery
So, what does that timeline actually look like?
The process is split into two main phases: order processing (review and verification) and carrier delivery (transit time).
- Processing Time: Accessories and replacement parts require batch confirmation before they can be shipped. This processing can take up to 7 business days. That's the time it takes for the team to verify your order details, confirm compatibility, and prepare the item for the carrier.
- Delivery Time: Once the part has been handed over to the carrier, the actual transit time usually takes 7–15 business days. However, this is an estimate and can vary based on carrier operations and weather conditions.
It's important to note that some components have longer lead times. For instance, orders for certain rear brake sets and front forks have an estimated delivery of 15–30 business days.
The Verification Process: Why It’s Not Just “Ship and Go”
One of the biggest reasons for a delay is the verification process. Riding Times doesn’t just grab a part off a shelf and throw it in a box. Because these are high-performance machines with different configurations, we need to make sure you get the exact component that fits your specific model.
For example, if you’re ordering a brake set or a front fork, you’ll be asked to email support with your order number, a clear photo of the motor’s serial number (usually found on the motor casing), and a photo of the area where the part will be installed. This “model or batch verification” is a crucial step. While this adds time to the dispatch side of things, it saves you the massive frustration of having to return the wrong part later.
For certain items like the battery key, we'll need you to confirm your e-bike model and battery type to make sure we send the right match. Just snap pictures of the number on battery key hole, then email the details to support@ridert.com along with your order number. It's a quick step that saves you from getting a key that doesn't fit.

What You Can Do to Speed Things Up
While you can’t control the delivery truck, you can control how quickly your order moves through verification. Here’s what helps:
1. Check Your Model First: Before you even email support, look at your bike. Check the motor casing for serial numbers and take clear photos.
- Motor issues: include a photo of the Serial Number (SN) on the motor hub.
- Battery issues: include a photo of the Production Label on the battery.
2. Have Your Order Number Ready: This is a recurring requirement for both missing parts and warranty claims.
3. Inspect Your Packaging: If a part is listed as “missing” from your order, the team will ask for photos of the package and everything you received. Sometimes, parts are packed separately within the same box.
Warranty Claims: A Smoother Experience
If your replacement part falls under warranty, the process is straightforward. Riding Times offers a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering the frame, battery, motor, and electrical components against manufacturing defects under normal use.
What's Covered: Any component proven to have a manufacturing defect, including the battery, motor, and electrical components.
What's Not Covered: Damage from improper use, accidents, unauthorized mods, extreme weather, or normal wear and tear (tires, brake pads, chains, grips, cables, bearings, pedals), plus cosmetic damage unless caused by shipping. Free accessories and items not purchased from our site aren't covered either. Additionally, parts and accessories purchased as standalone orders (not part of a validated warranty claim) are not covered under warranty. Once a warranty claim is approved, the replacement part ships on the same timeline as any other order.
Good news: If your issue falls outside our warranty coverage—for example, due to wear and tear or customer misuse—we may, as a goodwill gesture, offer a 40% discount on replacement parts. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis and isn't guaranteed for every exclusion.
To submit a claim, email support@ridert.com with your order number, description of the issue, and clear photos or video of the damage. No claim is processed without visual evidence.
Paid Replacement Orders vs. Warranty Replacements: Two Different Paths
A paid replacement order doesn't follow the same path as a warranty replacement. The verification steps, payment timing, inventory allocation, and even shipment rules can vary between the two. To keep things straight, we've laid it all out in the table below.
| Paid Replacement Orders | Warranty Replacements |
| You place an order through our site and pay at checkout. | You submit a claim via email support@ridert.com with order number, issue description, and photo/video evidence. |
| Your order goes through standard verification (model confirmation, compatibility check) before dispatch. | Your claim is reviewed by our team; if approved, the replacement part is processed internally. |
| Payment is collected upfront before processing begins. | No payment is required for the part itself (shipping may apply). |
| Inventory is allocated from our general stock. | Inventory is allocated from warranty-dedicated stock when available. |
| If the part is out of stock, you'll be notified and given options (wait, substitute, or refund). | If the part is out of stock, we'll prioritize restocking or offer alternatives. |
What Arrives in the Box: Check Your Replacement Part
Sometimes parts are packed separately inside the same box. If you open your shipment and think something is missing, check every corner of the packaging. Accessories, small components, and even tools can be tucked into foam inserts or separate compartments. This is because different bike models, production batches, and component configurations can result in variations in how items are packaged. If something genuinely is missing, our support team will need your order number and a photo of everything you received. From there, we'll review the photos and order details to determine the next step.
